February 21, 2019 - Applebees

Rick has been out of town for over a week and tonight, I just wasn't in the mood to cook (or clean, or go to the grocery).  Luckily, I had a gift card to Applebees so off we went.  We had a very annoying child in the seat behind me (eye roll) but we survived.  Riley enjoyed her pasta and my food was "just" okay.  However, she wanted dessert and since most of the meal was free, I told her to have at it.  She had some sort of melty cake with ice cream.  I was sad because the melty part was semi sweet chocolate instead of some sort of fudge.

Today at work I had two moms come find me so they could introduce me to their babies.  Yeah, my job doesn't suck.  Obviously, there are no pictures of this meeting.  BUT, I do have the cute sectional bow that I had made for Riley.

February 19, 2019

Last regular season meet of the year is complete.  She did really well, placing on 3 of the 4 events plus all around.  She also got her highest AA score of the season.  In the pics with all of the girls, those are girls from every team there.  The first four girls are teammates during USAG season and the other two are new friends that have been made this season.

Riley had friends over tonight because no school tomorrow.  I went to my room to give everyone privacy and maybe go to sleep really early because yeah, dance marathon yesterday.  There was a LOT of laughing going on which really made me smile.

February 16, 2019

We left the house at 8 for Riley to go to work and me to check on my parents' house.  Then we grabbed some lunch at Hot Box (the famous Riley deal) and went back to the gym for open gym and the end of the bake sale.  From there, we headed to Muncie for their dance marathon.  For the first time in FOREVER, Riley was chosen to speak from the stage and she did her now, relatively famous, fundraising push.

We volunteered at a 5K this morning where it was very cold but they had amazing croissants.  Riley also tried on prom dresses and worked a birthday party at the gym.  Ooh and I got my hair all cut off.

This sign was hanging up in the hospital by our store.  I still don't know if it was a typo.

Riley has been begging me for months to take some gymnastics photos of her and her friend Claire.  So I spent 3 hours taking photos.  They turned out cute.

Riley loved this one so much that she took a photo to send to Claire.  

She got home to a present from Grandma Linda.  Fits her perfectly!

First of all, today is my mama's birthday so happy, happy, happy birthday to her.

Riley had a meet today at New Palestine.  It was a little intimidating because their equipment is not very high quality which scared my already "fragile minded" gymnast.  She took her second front tuck out and replaced it with forward rolls.  *eye roll*  She also changed the vault settings so that she was elementary aged vaulting but still got a high score.  In fact, she tied for 4th so they cut her ribbon in half.  She ended up placing on vault and uhm...bars or beam.  I'm such a good coach that I have no idea which one it was.  Perhaps most fun was going out to dinner with friends later.
