November 3, 2020

I got to our polling place at 5:45 AM and was probably at least 100 people back in line but I got in and out in less than an hour.

This is where I was initially in line.  This is at Riley's old elementary school and my momma, Riley and I helped paint those totem poles.

I have no idea what is happening here but I'm saving this.

I voted!

My taco Tuesday Qdoba ground beef quesadilla with queso, beans, rice and regular cheese.  I added black olives and tomatoes when I got home and some sour cream.

 Decorating the window for Christmas.

Now that the time changed, I can see my favorite scene on the way to work.  I rolled down the window to take the picture and the stench of trash and gasses was horrible.  That part of town is icky.

You can't tell but this Colt's player did a roundoff full after his touchdown...actually after both touchdowns.  Riley and Claire were impressed.

Her sink that she's allowed to use in prison.

She's watching Young Frankenstein over zoom.

We went over to a couple of friends' for Halloween.  She made a raspberry lemon zucchini cake.  I gave her the recipe a few months ago so that was kind of fun.

Since it's Covid time, we hung out by a fire pit and watched people pick up their candy bars from a table.  Happy Halloween kids.

Goodness, I make a pretty fancy ghoul.  That's a filter.  I was normal looking.  So yeah, still a ghoul.

My mom decorated the door of her house.  I think that says Eek...or it was supposed to say eek.

I picked up Riley's Riley bucket at the orchard for a $700 donation!!!

Someone put a hundy in the bucket.  The people at the orchard thought it was fake.  It was not.

Dad found this!  I love it.

The orchard.

I stayed last night with my parents because my dad had a surgical procedure today on his ear.  I stayed with mom and ran him over to hospital and back since the surgery was very early this morning.  He found some funny pictures of Riley from the little years and passed them on to me.

Sooo, I happened to be at their house when I got off work and got a text from Riley saying that her roommate had tested positive for COVID.  Ugh.  Riley was in a car with friends (with a mask) when she got the text on her way to go bowling and then to see Rocky Horror.  They turned around and dropped her back at her dorm.  We packed up a go bag before she left for school which had a disposable toothbrush/toothpaste, a little blanket, medicine, etc. but she finished packing.  She got a call from the trackers telling her that they would pick her up and take her to the "presumed positive" dorm where she would stay until the 12th with no human interaction.  She also has to take a test and we will find out if she's "presumed" positive or actually positive.

My dad's chili meat from the butcher.  Expensive but it looks good.

Before the covid text...
I don't think I have ever or will ever look fashionably casual like that.

One of Rick's old friends from Steak N Shake retired and opened a pizza place in the old town where I went to high school.  It's a drive since it's on the other side of my hometown from where we live...but it's great pizza and we love to support her.

HOWEVER, every time I order from there (during the pandemic), I arrive and have to wait another 45 minutes for my food from the time they told me to get there.  I eventually asked if the reason is because Rick gets their deep dish pizza.  They said yes.  SO this time, I ordered from work then drove out.  I figured I had another 30 minutes to go so I stopped at a grocery store and called to see how much time I had.  She said the food was ready.  I have no idea what's happening.  But I did stop at my brother's on the way home and gave him some pizza.

This is Rick's deep dish.

This is a personal pizza with regular crust.  I wanted to try both.  And she only charges $5.

Hawaiian personal thin crust.  Definitely my favorite.  This is the one I ate in the dark last time we ordered.

If you can see the little arrow, it's pointing to a chapstick that I dropped and it rolled under the wall.

Riley and I attempted to watch This is Us together over zoom but for some reason, when she shared her screen, it was dark.
