Someone was ready for a haircut!!

She also had to pay homage to Purdue for a fundraising challenge.

I made fried fish for dinner tonight.  It ended up delicious but Riley didn't eat it because she decided to fast most of the day.  A 17 year old girl who fasts for more than 24 hours then attempts 4 hours of gymnastics then an hour of coaching...she didn't feel too well.

I got my ashes at mass at work.  Riley got hers when she asked if she could be a little late to school and go to mass beforehand.  How do you say no to that?

My mass was interesting in that it was in the chapel at the hospital.  It was attended by families, surgeons, nurses, clergy and so many others from different walks of life.  Also, my thumbprint is pretty smeary.

I was so very confused about the weird loop in her hair.  Turns out, her hair just was flippy....but look how dark it is!

We got word earlier in the week that there was a possibility for snow today.  We were a bit concerned because Riley's party was scheduled and it wouldn't be the first time that one of her parties had been cancelled due to snow.

Sure enough, it was snowing on our way home from church and cancellations from her Bton friends started rolling in around noon.  She panicked a bit because she was hosting a how to host a murder party and people had been assigned parts, but luckily we had extra people and Uncle Jason stepped in to help out.

In the end, the murderer was found, lasagna was eaten and there were more laughs than frustrated tears.

And then your Uncle Jason gives you corndogs for your birthday.

Happy Birthday to the most amazing girl I know.  She spent the day raising money for her dance marathon while at a DIFFERENT dance marathon.

Riley getting a birthday greeting from the Mayor.

Her friends from IU.

The coolest game I've ever seen.  It was Guess Who with the Riley kids.

Maybe my favorite dance marathon photo ever!
