Hello Solo and Ensemble!
Group one which was the choir went at 9AM. There were 11 musicians. They ended up not getting a score because there were four other musicians who could have had parts.
Riley and friends rushed from that room to their next room for a quartet. They did great, got a gold and are moving on to state.
Look who came to cheer her on!
Riley's solo wasn't until 2 which meant having time to go home, watch a little tv, eat lunch and for me, take a nap.
The best part was when she finished, the judge said, "Have fun at State" and gave her a 9.5 which is only .5 from a perfect score.
A big group of us (clown band peeps) headed out to dinner after everyone was done. We had a lot of fun and found out that someone (shhhhh) is expecting.
