Fishers DM with Riley's bff.

Tonight was one of Riley's favorite events of the year.  It is the Fisher's Fashion Show.  They have Paul Mitchell students doing hair and makeup, there are prom dresses and a runway...and for the first time ever...Riley was assigned an escort.

She started off with hair which was great until the lady doing her hair simply put it in a ponytail.  Fail.  She wears her hair in a ponytail every day at the gym.  So we requested a redo from a different stylist and it looked pretty good after that.

Her makeup looked beautiful and her friend Lauren, who graduated from Fishers, came to visit.  They did a prom pose.

Okay, so I made colcannon for dinner at my parents'.  Afterall, it's Saint Patrick's Day.  I had leftover red cabbage so I just threw it in a pot with carrots because who doesn't love boiled cabbage?  This is what it looked like when it came out.  BLECH!!!!   Also, according to my facebook page, A LOT of people don't like boiled cabbage.

We had a taste test on potatoes.  The Meijer brand Au Gratin potatoes won.  Although personally, I liked them all.  Some had a very oniony smell though.

These are tamales.  I don't even like tamales but it seems everyone I know likes them.  They appear to be carrying them fresh at the Kroger by me. So I took a photo and sent it to all my tamale lovin' friends.

Rick had a concert then we had our Team Indiana Awards Banquet, aka pizza and paper plate awards.  I won best photographer and Riley won the Mental award because she's crazy.

 

 

Oh, and remember the corn dogs Jason got Riley for her birthday?  He got some too.
