So, we got home from sectionals at about 1:30 AM. We were up by 7AM and off to state solo and ensemble. Riley qualified in both a solo and an ensemble. She got a gold with distinction in her solo and a regular gold in her ensemble.
We literally ran out of the school after the ensemble performed and headed to Franklin Central High School for a gymnastics meet. Bars went well but beam was a disaster. She literally fell off the beam four times. There were tears and some obvious frustration but by the time they walked to floor, she was laughing because what are you going to do?
We left the meet and headed north to Carmel dance marathon which is one of her favorite marathons, mostly because she gets to see a lot of friends.
This guy proclaims himself to be the King of dance marathon. They are both going to IU so we will see in four years if they are both still involved.
