When the discussion came up about Riley coming home for the weekend, we made the decision to run her back to school on Monday before her 1:45PM class. Then Rick got an offer for an outdoor clown band gig. Technically both Rick and Riley got the offer. She told us her class was either online or in person and they were to be done at the gig before her class. So deep breaths...both decided to do the gig. We spent the weekend picking up what she would need for her costume and actually ended up at Meijer last night picking up a new pair of shorts for Rick.
The gig was the parade scene for a crowdsourced movie called "Mayberry Man". It was fun and silly and hopefully safe, as we wore our masks when possible. I got to be on the sidewalk for the parade. I was wearing an orange shirt so should be easy to spot.
She took her math class in the car on the way back to the house using a mifi and took music theory at home. We left right after to get her back before her evening gymnastics meeting.
