June 13, 2020

Since the quarantine, life hasn't exactly been exciting but the last week or so has been fun.  Today, we we were invited to a graduation party.  We were all a bit nervous because we didn't know how distanced people would be.  BUT it was for Riley's bff so we knew we had to go.  Turns out, it was outside and there weren't a TON of people.  We knew most everyone there because they were either gymnasts, friends that Riley knew from, well, being bffs with the graduate and/or just being friends with the family.  Rick was excited to play football and baseball with their teenage son and his friends.  Her dad was excited to play football and baseball with Rick.    Someone built a tower of Jenga blocks and I promptly placed a bet on if anyone could throw a baseball in the tower and not knock it over.  That was a lot of fun to watch.  A teenaged girl threw it from the far end of the pool, through the tower and to another teenager without knocking anything over.  Rick hit the tower and exploded it.  Everyone else completely missed the tower.

So this photo was as were leaving to get something to eat.  The kitchen is currently closed since our fridge/freezer is being replaced next week due to lack of cold and the kitchen is clean for the party tomorrow (in which no one will be entering the house).  So to go meal it is...

Anyway, my aunt and uncle pulled up for the party which, as I mentioned above, is tomorrow.  C'est la vie.

In other exciting news, Riley got a package today and we found out that she was a top ten fundraiser for RCF and the hospital.  That has been a goal for several years and last year, she found out that she missed it by less than $10.  Seriously.  So she was quite excited to get the package.  She raised a little over $6,100.
Also, I didn't mention it Thursday but she also received a pin in the mail from CMNH for her graduation and she wore it under her gown to graduation.
